Pre-ETS

Parents and Students

Is your child still in school or a recent graduate, between the ages of 14 and 22 and has a disability? If so they could be eligible to participate in the Pre-ETS program, a collaboration between high schools and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR).  The students can be in any educational setting public, private, or home schooled.

Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services) programs are designed to work with students, families, schools, and community partners to support youth with gaining knowledge and experiences to make informed decisions about the future, secure and maintain employment.

Our staff of trained professionals will hold classes that are engaging, relevant and diverse in learning styles culture.  We understand the uniqueness of each student and will make sure lessons meet all IEP guidelines.  Supplies for classes are provided and transportation may be provided as well with prior arrangements and pending availability.

How can I enroll my student?

The first step is to contact your student’s counselor at the school and ask if your child can receive a referral for Pre-ETS services through Texas Workforce Commission.  Let them know you are considering our company as a provider and the school counselor will provide the next steps for you to take. Do not know your child’s counselor?  Not a problem, simply give us a call and let us know your child’s name and the school they attend, and we can handle the rest for you.

Schools

Do you have students who could benefit from Pre-ETS classes?  Our qualified staff is here to work with you to schedule convenient classes on campus or within the community.  We offer classes in both virtual and face to face settings.  We can work with you to make sure technology needs are met and that students have the opportunity participate in the type of classes that are most beneficial for them.  Contact our office and let us work together to help young people gain the knowledge they need to have the best start in life after high school.

(RT Employment follows CDC guidelines during face-to-face instruction.  Masks are required and equipment can not be shared by students.  If your child can not follow these guidelines, ask about our virtual options.)
